The Board of Directors in its session of the third quarter of the year 2023/2024 in order to review and discuss the implementation report presented by the Management has given specific instructions including the management of the construction project of Kongani Cashew Nut Industry in the village of Maranje, Mtwara Region.
The board has directed the management to manage this project with great professionalism in order to achieve the goals set by the Government of the Sixth Phase supported by Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan President of the United Republic of Tanzania.
The goal is to ensure that cashews are harvested locally and not to sell raw cashews abroad. In addition, the Board has emphasized the management to manage cashew crop development activities especially this rainy season to increase production from the current 305,000 tons to reach 595,000 tons in the 2024/2025 season as it is the production goals.
Speaking at the meeting, the Chairman of the Board of Directors Brg. Gen. Retired Aloise Mwanjile ndc has emphasized the management to implement the resolutions of the evaluation session of production, sorting and marketing of cashews for the year 2023/2024 and plans for the year 2024/2025.
