GENERAL SECRETARY MWELI MEETS IFAD, AFDP

The Secretary General of the Mnistry of Agriculture, Mr. Gerald Mweli has met and held talks with a delegation from the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) and experts from the Agriculture and Fisheries Development Program (AFDP) led by the Resident Director, Mr. Mohammed Al-Ghazaly with the Program Coordinator Mr. Stephano D. Magani.

The talks held on November 6, 2024, and aimed at monitoring the implementation of the Agriculture and Fisheries Development Program (AFDP), which is also a program coordinated by the Prime Minister’s Office for Policy, Parliament and Coordination.

In addition, the experts have expressed their satisfaction with the implementation of the program since its inception in 2022 where it has contributed to the increase in seed production and the installation of infrastructure in seed fields to have productive agriculture for farmers.
