CASHEWNUT FARMERS REMINDED TO UPDATE THEIR FARM INFORMATIONS

As part of the International Women’s Day celebrations on March 8, 2025, cashew farmers have been reminded to update their farm informations at the village executive offices where their farms are located.

This reminder was issued by Ms. Mariam Chimbyangu, the Procurement and Supplies Officer at the Cashewnut Board of Tanzania and the Chairperson of the Women’s Committee at the Board. Speaking on behalf of the Director General of the Cashewnut Board of Tanzania, she urged the farmers to update their farm records to qualify for free government-subsidized inputs.

The process of updating farm informations takes place from Monday to Saturday, starting from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The exercise officially began on February 17, 2025 and is expected to conclude on March 31, 2025.

The International Women’s Day celebrations in Mtwara were held at Mashujaa Park in Mtwara-Mikindani Municipality under the theme “Women and Girls 2025: Strengthening Rights, Equality, and Empowerment.”
