CBT STAFF URGED TO FULLY PARTICIPATE IN THE GENERAL ELECTION

The Director General of the Cashewnut Board of Tanzania (CBT), Mr. Francis Alfred, today, October 28, 2025, has met with all staff of the Board at the headquarters’ conference hall, where he emphasized the importance of full participation in the General Election scheduled for October 29, 2025.

Speaking during the meeting, the Director General urged all staff members to exercise their democratic right peacefully, calmly, and patriotically, underscoring that it is every Tanzanian’s responsibility to contribute to shaping the future of the nation.

He also reminded staff to continue working diligently, professionally, and with integrity, noting that discipline and accountability are the key pillars in building a strong institution and enhancing productivity in the country’s cashew industry.

In the 2025 General Election, a total of 37,647,235 voters are expected to cast their votes 36,650,932 from Mainland Tanzania and 996,303 from Zanzibar. Out of the 272 constituencies of the United Republic of Tanzania, 222 are on the Mainland and 50 are in Zanzibar.
