Officers of the Tanzania Cashew Board in the Tunduru District Commissioner Office in front of the District Administrative Secretary, Mr. Milongo Sanga for the official identification of the work which is a continuation of the improvement of the Cashew Farmers’ database for Tunduru District.
In addition, this exercise is ongoing throughout the country in all Regions that grow cashew nuts and has now started in Lindi, Ruvuma and Mtwara Regions in Tunduru, Ruangwa, Masasi and Lindi districts.
Speaking in the introduction of the officers, the Administrative Secretary has praised the steps taken by the Cashew Board and added that this exercise will reduce some of the challenges that emerged last season, especially in the distribution of inputs through farmer registration information.
Giving a word of thanks to the Administrative Secretary, Branch Manegr of the Tunduru Cashew Board, Mrs. Shauri Mokiwa, on behalf of the Director General, has requested the Tunduru District Head’s Office to encourage all Cashew Farmers to come forward on time and update their information so that they can be used in sustainable plans for the Cashew crop, especially in the distribution of subsidized pesticides.
