The Deputy Minister for Minerals, Dr. Steven Kiruswa, has commended the President of the United Republic of Tanzania, Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan, for her commitment to supporting cashew farmers particularly through the provision of subsidized inputs and her strong political will in advancing the agricultural sector in the country.
Dr. Kiruswa also applauded the Cashewnut Board of Tanzania (CBT) for its commendable efforts, including its effective oversight of cashew farmers in the Southern Zone and other regions across the country.
He made these remarks on June 13, 2025, during his visit to the CBT exhibition booth at the Minerals and Investment Exhibition taking place in Ruangwa District, Lindi Region. The exhibition officially began on June 11 and is scheduled to conclude on June 14, 2025.
