On September 10, 2025, experts from the National Health Insurance Fund (NHIF) visited the offices of the Cashewnut Board of Tanzania (CBT) to provide education on the use of health insurance, the benefits available to public servants, as well as additional service packages enjoyed by CBT employees.
Among other issues, the experts explained that NHIF has made several improvements to its systems, including the NHIF Self-Service System, which allows members to register themselves and generate their own insurance cards.
The system also enables members to view their monthly contributions, register their dependents, and generate health insurance cards for them, ensuring easier access to healthcare services.
In addition, these services provided by NHIF are available in both public and private hospitals. The visiting experts were Mr. Muhamed Jabu, Membership Officer and Dr. Mamiza Habibu, Quality Control Officer.
