Cashewnut Board of Tanzania secured land of 1,572 acres for developing Industrial Park at Maranje in Mtwara Region. The government has developed basic infrastructures including roads, water system, electric lines, natural gas and fence.  The Park has registered at Tanzania Investment and Special Economic Zones Authority (TISEZA) and The Vice President Office has issued Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA) certificate. Other structured built are two warehouses with capacity 20,000 tons and weigh bridge with capacity of 80 tons. 

ABOUT MARANJE 

At Maranje Industrial Park the following structures will be developed by both private and government investors: Cashewnut, apple, CNSL, sesame processing factories, research laboratory, warehouses for product storage and drying area. Servieces available for investors include fuel station, office building, cafeteria, power house, hostels /hotels and family houses.

The incentives offered include: free ready to use industrial land with state-of-the-art infrastructure for 66 years, import duty free, VAT and corporate tax exceptional for 5 – 15 years depending on capital invested, and guaranteed electricity supply, water and waste management solutions.
